Tips & Troubleshooting


Laser cutter doesn't cut. When pressing go, either:

This is likely because the print file is not a vector object. Go back to the  above workflow. 

Print is not sent to the laser cutter. The laser cutter may not be not online. Check USB cable, and/or reboot computer.

Parts are difficult to remove/the cut doesn't go all the way through. Increase power or reduce speed.

Flames appear. Reduce power and/or increase speed.

Problems connecting to cutter/engraver. Possibly the driver should be reinstalled. See info in subpage here.

Driver Installation

When installing the Epilog Engraver over USB on Windows 7 64bit OS, you must follow the steps below:

*C:/Epilog_Drivers is the default folder when you unzip the file after downloading from the website. You may have unzipped to another location and if so, direct it to that location to search for the drivers as described above.
